The quilt is too big to shoot in my tiny home, but my guild sisters obligued. I am very pleased with how it came out, so please excuse me if I am a bit smug. I designed about 4 quilts before I came up with a pattern I liked for the fabric I'd bought. Many of the fabrics are batiks, including the ginko leaf background.

Shelbe, The father of my best friend when I was growing up was "on loan" from the Canadian govt. to ours to design and make artificial limbs during the Korean War, so I have often felt 'almost' Canadian, although I have only been as far East as Alberta. The maple leaf is not just a delight of the Fall, it's also the symbol of another country I love.
