My Uncle passed away last Sept, and I asked my Aunt to save his shirts for me, I want to make a quilt for her. This is my first memory quilt. Most of the squares are cut 4 1/2" x 2 1/2". I am glad I got it done before the first anniversary of this death. I am going to present it to her on August 22. I really enjoyed doing this one.

Simple but very effective. I'm sure to her it will mean the world as she'll recognize every single piece of fabric in the quilt. It was a great thing for you to do for her.

Wonderful!

Very cool! Be prepared with tissues, she is going to bawl her eyes out at this, but in a good way.

How did you do the picture in the middle of your Uncle? I'd like to make one for my girlfriend. Her son died this past spring and she was very close to him and the grandkids.

thank you, I used June Taylor fabric you can put in your printer, my Aunt asked if I could put his picture on it so she emailed a picture, the one you see on the quilt. Just follow the directions on the package, very easy, and then i sealed it with fabric glue to prevent fading. Got that tip right here on this board. Go for it, it will be a wonderful gift to her.
