Thank you!

They are so easy to make. I made all these in 2 days with maybe a total of 5 hours. Having a little one around means I am up and down all day.

There is a tut on line for ones similar to mine. I will have to find the link for you.

I made mine before I knew there was an online tut so mine are made differently.

I vote for chocolate

Those are too cute, I have some of the same fabrics too. How big a piece did you need?

crafty_linda_b 07-10-2011 01:06 PM

I think some hersey kisses would be a good addition to the jars...you know when you are sewing for a long time you need a sugar fix to keep your energy up!! They are really cute cj..you did a good job on them!!

I will be selling these at the Tymeless Hearts carnival in Aug. I haven't decided on a price yet.

cjomomma 07-10-2011 01:17 PM

Thank you for the compliments!!

You wouldn't be able to put very much chocolate in them.

stichinluvr 07-10-2011 01:25 PM

Really cute! Did you use fiberfill or something else?

debcavan 07-10-2011 01:26 PM

And they are too cute. You can even store something in the jar like your thimble

jaciqltznok 07-10-2011 01:50 PM

do you just stuff a ball of stuffing into a circle of fabric and stitch it up???

I could not believe how spendy those flat jars are..wow...

jaciqltznok 07-10-2011 01:50 PM

Carrie...those are ADORABLE! I came across this thread and lo and behold here you are! So glad to "see" you again!

I love this craft. How very fun is this?!?!

Did you decide on how much you wanted to charge for these at the craft fair?

I hope you, your DH, little man and the other kidlets are doing great!!

Missy

I roll up left over batting and gather the fabric using upholstery thread then tie the thread in a knot. I like the upholstery thread because regular thread will break when pulled tight.
Remember to place the lid on the batting before gathering the fabric. The hard part is stuffing the top thru the ring. Make sure that the batting doesn't get under the lid or it will be hard to screw the ring onto the jar. I also use all purpose tacky glue to glue the fabric to the bottom of the lid for added strength.

brenda21 07-10-2011 02:22 PM

tooo flippin' cute!!

cjomomma 07-10-2011 02:41 PM

For those who want to know I will be selling for $5.00 each.
