Not sure which one of these I like better. What do you think?

It really depends on what kind of quilt it would be for, and also on the fabrics that will be used with it.

I'm thinking the light background would be better for a child's cowboy quilt; the black background would be more sophisticated for an adult's quilt.

I think the boots get somewhat lost in the dark fabric.

I love them both, but I'm a country gal at heart! My niece I'm thinking would love the darker one.

I like the light fabric, but it depends on what other fabrics you are using and if the quilt is for a little cowboy or big one. (personal preference is lighter for younger, etc.)

I like the dark. I always seem to be drawn to dark backgrounds.

Absolutely love the dark...but you have to let your creative side visualize it for you...my creative side is visualizing the dark...LOL.

I like the light too - more dimension and detail.

I like the lighter one. I can see the details more clearly. However it would depend entirely on the overall quilt design.

I agree with Prism99 about using the lighter one for a child's quilt and the darker one for an adult quilt. Having said that, the dark one appeals to me because the colors on seem to pop. :wink:

I usually like the dark with brights but this fabric I like the light

I vote for the dark...seems to me the colors in the boots are brighter on the dark piece. But as others said, it depends on who your making it for!

At first glance, I picked the light..... they are both very nice though.

Wow! I love that fabric. I think i like the light better although the dark gives a 3D effect.

Dark is more striking. Depends what you will make out of it. Will it be exsposed to a child, or pet hair? You may want to go light as then it will not show.
