Withthe red border makes the center really pop!!

I like the drama of the red, but it is hard to see the proportion of border to panel. One thing - the spot where you think she might put this, how much space? As others have suggested, you can bind in red if you need the slightly smaller dimension

I vote for one red border, but use red narrow binding, just my opinion. Very pretty by the way.

I agree with bizzielizzie.......I think the red makes the panel "POP". Can't wait to see it done....it will be pretty, I just know.

Without the second red border. I think just having the one red, with the greens on both sides, makes the reds in your center pop! ... Nice work too, very pretty!...

IMHO I think it needs a "darker" color to frame, finish and stop the eye from going off the edge. It doesn't necessarily have to be red, but something darker than the light green. Even a dark red binding might work. When you look at the light green border only, your eyes wander out away from the edges rather than being contained and directed in towards the design in the center.

Since it is going to be a wall hanging I think to save space I will go with the green outside green boarder and red binding. When I get there I will post a picture. The quilting part is going to be the hard part. I hate the quilting process and can't afford to pay anyone. I wish I could get the hang of free motion.

I think either would be just fine. The way you have it now with a red binding would be fabulous. It is so pretty and your mom will love it.
