My seven year old great grandson rode a sheep at the local rodeo. He won a belt buckle, bandana and a trophy that says he is a "mutton buster". I made this quilt for his next birthday. The cowboy's chaps are a fuzzy material to represent sheep's wool. The fabric has tiny sheep. He loves it.
Here's the Mutton Buster. He wanted to know how old he would have to be before he could ride the bulls. I told him he'd have to be 38! [ATTACH=CONFIG]163614[/ATTACH] |

Really cute quilt - gorgeous grandson. I swear I never laughed so hard in my life as watching the little ones ride the sheep. to be congratulated on staying on. And what a great remembrance to have when he gets older (maybe even 38) some day.

My first husband learned to rope on goats. His nickname while he was growing up was "goat roper" cause his grandpa couldn't keep him from chasing his goats all over farm constantly. Precious little cowboy you got there!
