Thank you everyone for your kind words....I think I'm blushing :) I waited a long time before I started quilting but it is something I've ALWAYS wanted to do! Life just seemed to be to crazy and busy to stop long enough to take the class I wanted to get me started. Now that I have, look out! haha I've got the most beautiful fabric already picked out for my next quilt.......now I just need to decide what type of block/pattern I want to showcase it with. Decisions, decisions, decisions....LOL

You are a born quilter! What a cute project, that was a great class looks like you learned alot. Beautiful quilt. Don't get stuck on trying to decide just jump in with both feet, pick some fabric and have fun. Welcome to the world of quilters.

Wow! That is awesome for a first quilt-I never would have guessed it was your first. I was not brave enough to to try any difficult quilting techniques so I just did squiggly lines-I still haven't tried anything yet! Great job!

A terrific first quilt- nice color choices, and it looks like your details are well done!!!! Sounds like your second one is incubating and you already have some fabrics. I look at magazines and books often to find designs that spark my taste and emotion. I borrow magazines from friends, pick up books at garage sales, borrow from the library, and Yikes! even occasionally buy one. Also going to a good quilt show or the state fair will help you find work that inspires your next move.

Most of all Have Fun and Welcome to the Forum!

You did a fantastic job. How do we decide???? laughing...I think we end up working on 3 or 4 because we see something new that we want to work on while we are working on another one.

Since you are "going it alone" (as you said in your post) pick something that doesn't have a lot of points in it that have to meet at a certain place.

You did a wonderful job on your quilt. Looks like there are a lot of different techniques you used on it. As for how I decide what to do next, it's usually on a "need" basis, is someone having a baby? Is there a holiday coming up? Barring any of that, I am usually figuring my next project before I finish the one I am on.....
