Since there are so many curves, most of the cuts are on the bias and that does not fray as bad, you do nothing with the edges. This is a wall quilt.
If you wanted to try this with a quilt that would be washed, I would leave more for a seam allowance and just let it fray. Rag quilts are popular, so why not? |

It is done in raw edge reverse applique. I did the face with colored pencil. I was VERY unhappy with the way the silver in the moon came out, it looks like ironing board cover fabric. Worked out fine for my daughter though, since I gave it to her. I did try this a little earlier, if I messed up somehow, please disreguard. |

i looove it b/c it is a very good quilt i'm afaid that i have never seen a quilt this pretty
9 year old and into all this sewing stuff.so let me tell you an story that's great i once upon a time...made 1 quilt and i got so into it i would not stop i would ask my mommy and nana and papa if i could spend the night til"...the next week it was time for school so i never got to finish it and it is this very second is still not finshed so i plan to finsh it today or tomorrow "THE END" i looove that story. me and my nana love that kind of stuff.
