This is my latest quilt. It is a Fiesta kit that we bought from Keepsake quilting. It is made out of balis and was suppose to be the blocks only with a border, but I decided to make it a QAYG - thus the navy sashing between the blocks and to make it a bit bigger I put the borders on. It is suppose to be a wall hanging, but I prefer a lap quilt. It was my first attempt to paper piecing and was much fun in doing. I used the left over balis (I always buy too much) for the backing, so both sides look nice. Thanks for looking.

That is amazing!!!

I looked for the pattern and couldn't find it. Was it by chance an older one? I love it !!
Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL! and it is what I call a 2fer (two for the price / work of one) It is very pretty both sides. How smart of you to quilt it as you go and enlarge it with boarders. I too would rather have a throw / lap quilt than a wall hanging. .... only because I have no wall space to hang them.
Beautiful, I love the colors.
That is very cool! :D
"to make it a bit bigger I put the borders on"
How did you do that? I just finished one that I wanted to do that but couldn't figure out how to do the borders with the QAYG. Not shipped yet so maybe there is hope. Please share your secret. |

I think I just drooled a little bit on your quilt. ;-)
spectacular
Fantastic! Loved it so much I checked Keepsake's website for the kit / pattern. Sadly, it wasn't available (or if it was I couldn't find it). Your quilting makes the quilt even more beautiful than the basic blocks. And the fabric selection is spot on!
