Hi quilters! I made this quilt for my husband's birthday. It is called "Joe Willie". I could not have done it without all the helpful tips you all shared with me along the way. Thanks for the encouragement :) I did quilt it myself on my old Kenmore 10 stitch machine. I've done alot of needlework/knitting/artsy stuff in my time but I think I am hooked on quilting! Now I need to hone my skills and look for a different sewing machine. Kim

:D Re: the gridwork...first I stitched in the the ditch on the blocks. Then I used 1.5 inch blue painters tape to mark the lines going through the middle of the blocks. Then I switched to a Clover fine line white marker for the rest of the lines. Unfortunately, I ran out of the white ink right at the end so I eyeballed a few short lines. After that I am looking forward to doing a table runner!
