OMG... you're crazy.... that's way to pretty to be walked on!!!!!!
Oh how pretty is that, and what a beautiful little sitting area in your basement!
If you need a bed to put it on I have a bed. It is so very colorful.
I would not dare putting my feet on it. Beautiful!
It is way too pretty for the floor, but it looks sew fabulous there...nice job
amazing in every way.
It looks beautiful. Your lines come together great! I never would have thought about using it as an accent rug- that's a novel idea. It really pulls the seating area together. What do you use to prevent the quilt from sliding around the floor?
Love it! Great job matching seams.
It looks great on your floor but I would not allow anyone to walk on it.
What a wonderful rug! I can't believe that's your basement. Looks nicer than my living room.

Looks so bright and cheerful!
Very pretty and I hope there's a sign up that says "no shoes allowed"! Would love to see more of the other wallhangings you have up. I see at least 4...
AKKKK! I found myself screaming "Don't walk on it!" remember the clear plastic covers on the chairs/sofa that people would put on and never take off for centuries in order to protect the fabric? makes me want to lay it down on this beautiful scrappy. Seriously, it is so pretty and such a wonderful job you've done. I like the quilting you chose to do on it as well.Oh and thanks for the nightmare I will have tonight about me running around trying to keep people from walking on my quilts! LOL!
I know we don't like the idea of walking on quilts, but, on the other hand...
Look what great personality, color and warmth it adds to the room and tile floor! It is scrappy, little $$ involved, and may fit the budget better than buying a rug. It can be thrown into the washing machine. I can't do that with my large area rugs. I wouldn't do this with a quilt I'd invested too much money or too many hours on, but a scrappy in an area that's not a main traffic area in my home...I think I'd consider it! |
What a clever idea. I like it! It adds great color and dimension to your room. Plus shows your gift of not just quilting but decorating. Great job. Thanks for sharing!
I wouldn't want to walk on that "rug" but great for sitting on ....beautiful "rug"
I hope you have scotch guarded it like crazy and don't allow anyone to have shoes on when they walk on it. I don't think after doing all that piecing I could put it on the floor! It is a very nice room though.
I have to agree! But it's yours to do with as you so choose. SMH!!

SMH only because I didn't think of it. Looks great on your floor and adds much personality. gives great bits of color.
I love how it looks on your floor. What great decorating! I never would have thought to do that but it is a fantastic way to use up your scraps and it fits perfect in your room. Just love it.
a great scrappy!!!
That looks really beautiful with your choice of colors. I really don't think I could walk on it though.
Love it!!! Beautiful setting area.
I have thought about doing that. Did you put anything on the back to keep it from slipping around? |
I love your floor quilt! I've often thought about making one myself, guess I'll get at it and actually make one now. As another poster said, it's a perfect solution... a great way to use up scraps, and it can easily be picked up and washed when needed.
beautiful, I hope people take their shoes off for this one.
What a great idea! I bet it takes the chill off of the tile floors in the winter and makes this cute space even more cosy.
Floor art....what a great idea.
That looks a pretty quilt on the arm of the chair. Can we see it a bit closer please. |
Sacrilege. Shame to walk on such a lovely quilt. The quilt police will be after you! LOL. Love the Rabbit border on the wall hanging. More evidence of your talent? Thanks for sharing.

That is too pretty to be walking on, hang it on a wall or a bed.
Great idea, love it....you can always wash it......
Hope you only walk on it with socks on - NO Shoes, Please!
Great looking quilt rug, Beautiful room.
OMG, I cannot even conceive of walking on a quilt, but it adds great decor to your room! Do with it as you please! You can enjoy it now instead of it folded away somewhere in a closet for 50 years.
Really like your quilt and sitting area. But wouldn't want anyone walking on it.
Fotoula, I understand and won't fuss at you. My son brought a silk Persian type rug for me. I wore it on my shoulders, put it on the piano like a scarf and then on the wall, everything but on the floor. He finally convinced me that the rug would survive feet. Now I have it either in front of my chair or next to my bed. I enjoy the appearance and the feel of the rug everyday.
Great idea, better to use it even if it's on the clean floor than have it in a closet... Beautifull.
Really pretty used like that!
