Your work is beautiful. You have a great eye for color and combining fabrics. I'm so glad you're enjoying- and using your first lap quilt. I'm still using my first one, too. Although it has many mistakes, it shows how far I've come and reminds me of the passion I first felt when I started quilting. My philosophy is that each quilt is a snapshot of what I'm capable of at the time. As long as you continue to challenge yourself, you're learning and mastering the art.
Welcome to the board.

You are on your way to becoming an addicted quilter! Very nice work and beautiful colors.

You're doing a great job. I've been quilting for about 10 years and make mistakes all the time. Your work is very good, congratulations.

You're off to a wonderfully good start with quilting. If you have fabric left from your "too narrow" lap quilt, you might consider taking the binding off (I know, I know) and enlarging it. Or not. Sometimes done is best!

Very pretty projects. Just keep making them and you will please yourself. Practice makes perfect, as they say.

I can tell, you are going to the top and most likely, over the top. Wish I could produce such innovative piecing as you have done and I have been at it for quite a few yrs. now.

Nice job. I finally pulled my very first quilting project out (a small baby quilt) and finished quilting it. I had started it in a class maybe 15 years ago, finished the piecing, and got some quilting done before life got in the way. It was dreadfully pieced with uneven seams and wobbly borders, but I love it! It is a great example of how far I have come, and besides, when it was quilted and washed a lot of the imperfections get hidden LOL! I am just waiting for a special little girl to be born who I can give it to.

I think your first picture is very nice and if there are mistakes on your projects that is what makes them unique! Remember no one is perfect. Happy quilting ;)

Good for you! Hoping you enjoy many happy years of quilting. You've heard it is addictive?!!!

Your quilts are great. A word of advice, you may see any mistakes you make as gigantic ones with neon signs; but they truly aren't. You need to lighten up and give yourself credit where credit is due. I've been guilty of the same thing, however, please be kinder to yourself.
