What a sweet and thoughtful husband. Please keep it - it is special. Make a wall hanging or frame the panel. Glad your feeling well.

Now, I am 'color challenged', but it looks like it matches the fabric you laid it out on.
And it does match one thing in your home perfectly - the love between you and your husband. Suggest that you just take it to Michaels', get it framed, cutting off the outer gold border, leaving the inner, darker border, and hang it prominently in your home. |

The panel measures 36" x 44". and does not match the colors in my home, so it will be a gift to someone. For you to understand the gesture of this gift, you gotta know that while very helpful around the house, my DH is not into sewing. He says it is a foreign language, and he never learned it.

You can make them something else. I hope you keep it for yourself.

Oh it's so gorgeous, and i can understand your tears when he gave it to you, that's so precious of him. Here is an idea too, i do like the idea of taking off the outer border, and hubby wont even notice that you did that. If you want to make a wallhanging, i have seen some gorgeous ones done with panels, but attic windows are put in front of the panel, so it looks like you're looking out the window, so you could do some light cream or sage for the window frames, and then frame it with a darker sage border, that would look gorgeous to actually see Jesus outside through the window panes, in the garden. But i also like your idea of doing some piecing around the panel. Whatever you decide, it will be beautiful :)

I would keep it and frame it. Keep it just because your husband gave it to you. He would feel very proud if you kept it. Who cares if it matches your decor. Put it in your quilting room.

I think I would keep it as a reminder to myself that DH can be really a sweetie and a keeper.
(Don't know how thin-skinned your DH is, but mine would be hurt if I gave something away that he thought I would really like) |

You could change the borders to go better with your decor. If it were mine, I might consider a star at two of the corners, they're really easy
