Excellent machine. Get the motor off it, (don't throw it away, keep it as a souvenir of grandpa), clean it up, oil it, get a new treadle belt, and then you will be extremely proud of your machine. Watch my Youtube vids if you need inspiration. how to clean it - great info and applies to your machine too. Muv has other videos on Utube - check on the top of the video for 'other' videos |

Sorry to hear about your grandparents and parents passing, but I know you will think of them while use use that beauty. They will be glad someone will love her.

That is a very nice machine. I recall many precious hours watching my grandmother using her's. Many blessings to you and sorry about your loss of your father.

My mom got the machine from my grandmother, and I always knew it would be mine someday, since my sister doesn't sew. Mother died some 20 years ago and all her stuff stayed in the house with daddy. He passed away last spring, and we're just now sorting through everything. I am so proud of this machine. DH is in the process of cleaning it up, although it didn't look too bad considering the age. BTW, you should have seen the condition of the belts and the electric cord--bad, really bad. Another job for DH.
