Happy Quilting Hours for you and your machine: I wish I had my Aunt's machine that was like this: She made all her own dresses:::

Have fun fixing your machine and then sewing some special quilts.

I have one not as pretty as yours that was my grandmothers- I learned to sew on it, it still works and I love it!

When I was a pre-teen/teen, my grandmother, bless her heart, tried her best to teach me how to use the treadle. I just could not do it. She could make it hum and sew as smoothly as any electric machine, but it seemed like I just sat in one place and was "spinning my wheels". Not sure if I want to go through that again. (LOL)

Y'all have said such kind things -- and I am very blessed!

It would be a shame not to try. See if you can find a friend with a treadle to try one out. Also find Treadle Lady's website and her videos on Youtube - she's easy to find on google, and she's pretty inspiring. And then if you try and really don't get on with treadling, you can always stick the motor back on.
