My Lap Quilt!

2 Attachment(s)
I just finished this mini-quilt, it's for my friend's birthday coming up (She's turning 16.) I am super excited to give it to her! This is the third mini-quilt (and third quilt overall) that I have. I feel like there is something I should add to the borders, like more quilting or something. My mom suggested knot-tying the border, and I think that might be cute but I don't know. There is a whole lot of mistakes, and the fabric is cheap from Walmart, but I'm still proud of it :)

I love this fabric, and as far as quilting just try something you like. That's how we learn new things.

Thank you maryb119 :)

Thank you Grace!! I loved the fabric too. I got a pack of fat quarters and thought it was the prettiest option, I loved the bright colors and flowers, I think it's a good fabric for a teenage girl. :)

Very nice work. Walmart does have some nice quality fabrics now. Your friend will surely love this quilt. Keep up the work

Lovely little quilt...very brave to use the decorative stitch at the edge! You will find the more you sew the better you will become. Keep at least one of these "first" quilts for yourself. it will become a reminder of how much you have improved as you gain experience. I have one little quilt I love to look at...it's full of wonky pieces, but it show how far I have come in my miniature sewing.
