It's a beautiful quilt. The design is fabulous.

that is beautiful

Beautiful quilt!
Spectacular quilt! Maybe an applique or several taken from some of the motifs on the front would make covering the hole look like an intentional design element.
Its absolutely gorgeous! Just applique over the hole and enjoy the quilt. Your group did a fabulous job!
I wouldnt give it a second thought. the quilt to beautiful enjoy.
The quilt is gorgeous! Try not to worry too much about the hole. It can be patched or covered.
The quilt is beautiful and the hole is on the back thank goodness. Please, don't stress over it.
Very nice and surely something can be figured out for the hole in the back. The label mentioned sounds like a good idea to me.
Beautiful quilt.
gorgeous
I love the quilt and have not read all of the replies so forgive a duplicate idea, but I think it is a good place for an artfully placed random block made of the scraps from your center.
Oh my goodness, That is one beautiful quilt!!!!
It's absolutely beautiful.
Things are always fixable. Put an applique over it, or a strip of blocks from the front. good luck.
Stunning quilt!

Your cup is really half full, so don't waste any time on this . There are many solutions and a lot depends on the location and size of the hole. Since you so brilliantly pieced and quilted this lovely quilt I'm sure your artistry will make it look planned with a label. block or whatever.
GREAT JOB LOVE IT |
very pretty

That is an absolutely beautiful quilt!

It's such a lovely piece of art that no one will do much careful examination of the back. It's the front that catches the eye. |
This is a beautiful quilt. Your Round Robin ladies were really good at bringing out the character of this quilt. The colors just sparkle. I like the idea of puting a label on the hole in the back. No one but you will ever know.

Sorry about the hole the quilt is so beautiful!!!!!!!!
Your quilt is beautiful. Creativity will fix the hole.
I patch with a heart.
the quilt is so pretty, but didn't you notice the hole when you ironed it?
It's gorgeous!!
It is so pretty.
it is a very nice quilt. Sorry about the hole. With that unbelievable quilting you are right, continue on and patch it when done. Do you quilt for others?
Absolutely beautiful!

It's stunning! Too bad about the hole, but you can do something creative with it - put an obvious patch on the hole, then embroider something around it.
A friend, a former teacher, who is a quilter, taught several forms of quilting and smocking too, her work is unbelievable, took an order from a mum asking her to make a quilt for her new baby girl using some of the big sisters old clothes - she had it batted up and was ready to roll when she noticed a 1/2" hole in one of the pink jeans patches. So! she gave it an obvious patch and embroidered "My big sister's jeans were just too cute to leave out of my quilt!" I was doing a - I call it quiltlet - with a pretty duvet cover and muslin back and I CUT A 3" SLICE THRU ALL 3 LAYERS!! Yikes! I did double sided blanket stitching thru the 3 layers, then decided on an Amish explanation + embroidered "Only God is Perfect!" around it - who could argue with that!! The Old Order Amish Quilters often turned one block in a different direction deliberately to show they knew only God is perfect; I love their example, they are an inspiration and a great help when errors strike! So take heart with your backing hole and it will become an even greater treasure - these bits of our humanity jog creativity more than we think they will! |
Kathy it is just beautiful are U able to mend it before so it wont been noticable the quilt is so very pretty,at least it is on the back
It's a beautiful quilt. Maybe you could make a block that matches one on the top and applique it over the hole, or put your quilt label over it.
WoW, amazing quilt. Your group is very talented! So sorry to hear about the hole. You didn't say how big, but I would make a block, something to represent the front, and stitch it down over the hole, maybe at an angle. If it looks odd, then make another small block and stitch that down also. Now you know, once you start, you may want to make more, but keep it in odd numbers
Good luck. I am anxious to see what everyone else has come up with ;) |
Beautiful, put a few circles or what ever on the back (applique by hand carefully) and it will look like it is suppose to be like that
OMG ... You are kidding! Bless your heart. Can you put your label there to hide and reinforce it?
That is such nice work on both the quilting and the rounds. |
Could that be the place you stitch on the label? I did that once when I found a flaw in the backing fabric.

Sounds like a great place to affix an applique...
