There are 675 pieces in the quilt center, all paper pieced. The stars in the background were quilted and then I used a metallic gel pen to highlight them. I wanted them to echo the star in the center.

You can also access the blog with all the quilts in the book by going to RaNae's website and following the link there. Mine is by far the least impressive of the lot.

Well I haven't seen the book but I did just take a peek at the website and refuse to believe that yours is the LEAST impressive. IMO it is AS beautiful as some of hers and MORE beautiful than most. So there! :mrgreen: :lol: :D
