Hello! Good morning to all!
How are you? I hope very well, is Friday ... the best day of the week! I still have "my contributions" (Jajaja!), now your turn to Block # 2 Sampler Almazuelas! It is a Log Cabin, but made with this technique is very different to the classic. You can see in that link: [url]http://belnysusdiseos.blogspot.com/2011/08/log-cabin-hecho-con-la-tecnica-de-la.html[/ url] I show the block, a Almazuela in detail, the "texture" that create the fold of the fabric and a picture of the 2 blocks made so far! A big hug to each and thanks for looking! Nice work! Can you give us the measurements of the center block in inches and then the cut width of the strips (in inches) and how much you are folding over (in inches)?
|
Love the block, but wish the instructions were in English also. Can follow along a little by photos, but difficult at where and when to sew?? Thanks tho...its beautiful and would love to try it sometime.

Claudia You can reed that post in English. In the blog Belén, at the beginning of the post in the right sidebar (3rd place), there are flags. Press the English flag (first) and the blog was translated into English automatically. I hope that help! A hug! |

Looks like it uses a LOT of fabric? I have not measured ... about 3 strips of pink for the length of the fabric, 2 blue arabesques and 2 blue. I do not think it so ... for the "depth" is achieved by folding the fabric. I must measure the next block! Good idea! A hug! |

I like too for this reasons! A hug! |
Beautiful, I especially like the setting in the fourth block. So far, I've only made one folded log cabin block which I use as a coaster. I like the optic very much and want to make a wallhanging using this technique.

Thanks you! You can really make each block in an afternoon, sewing each of the four Almazuelas step at a time. Cut strips of fabric in every step of the required length of four at a time and we sew. This shortens the time! A hug! |
Thanks for all lovely words!
A hug! |
These are absolutely gorgeous! My you are talented!

Just go to the Blog of Bethlehem. In the right sidebar, in the fourth, are the translators. If you pressed, 1 Bandera (England), the blog automatically translated into English. And you can read the tutorials 2 Blocks of Almazuelas. Hope it works for you A hug! |
