Beautiful quilts. On the first one what about doing a chevron/zig zag border?
On the bear paws I like your 2nd version better |

Very nice. Bear Paw 1 gets my vote.

For the Carpenters star, how about a "piano-key" border then a solid border? IMO if you were to add just solid borders to enlarge it, those stars on the corners would appear to be floating off into the atmosphere; you need something more pieced for balance.

Add some borders using the colors in the quilt. Perhaps add more stars in the border-?

For the bear paws I like the 1 st one. Normally I am big on blocks on point but it appears some of the individual bear paw gets lost/garbled when it is set on point. Maybe if you added the blue sashing in?

The Big yellow star is done. Ready for my trip to see my son - this is for DS DDIL's second anniversary made from material left over from their son's baby quilt. Guess I bought a little too much material at that time when I was so excited for my first grandchild.

It turned out beautifully...lucky kids!

maybe some flying geese going around in the borders. you don't have to fill the borders with them, maybe 3/4 of the way round .
