As I was getting my Christmas stuff out, I found the first table runner that I made. When I started quilting, I think this was the second class that I took. I didn't have any idea what I was doing, just did whatever the instructor told me to do. The best I can remember the kit and class was about eighty dollars, which I thought was way too expensive. The explanation was that the gold trim is what cost so much.
I was really proud of it when I got it finished. I still like it. It's nice to go back and find things that you did years ago.

it is very beautiful!

ssnare 12-10-2010 03:43 PM

It looks like $80 worth to me. I know when I take a class and purchase all that is needed, I feel overwhemed by the cost and I just do what the instructor tells me to do.
Nice job.

Just found the book. It's Christmas Traditions in Stained Glass - Bear Paw Productions by Brenda Henning.

I made that runner last year and the gold was $189 per spool and it used 2 spools.

MaRanda 12-10-2010 06:18 PM

Very elegant.

annieshane 12-10-2010 06:20 PM

this is so elegant. That gold trim is like $15 for 10 yards, latest time I checked. I have some I have been holding onto for something really special, like what you have here. This is certainly not something you will find for sale anywhere. Great work!!

Mariposa 12-10-2010 06:30 PM
