It is an adorable quilt--very attractive. Will you put the braid all the way around? If so something to end the process and in my opinion should be something dark. This way the inside with the lady bugs pop. I think anything would look good because it is a good looking quilt as is.

My thought too...put the braid all the way around.....Love it!!

I would also like to suggest a black border; but I would also add some black antlers on each lady bug at their head. You could hand embroidery them on with several threads or use the satin stitch on the machine.

I like the idea like Ctack2 said. No matter what you do, you can't miss. This is soooo cute.

Would add the braided look at the top and bottom and finish it like others suggest. Love the lady bugs, you did a great job.

I would ad another 1" border to mirror image the fabroc on the other side of the braid border, then a wider black border. Which fabric are using for the backing? You can bring it up around the front edge (maybe)

I agree with this suggestion - it keeps your braid from bleeding into the border - you could bind in either the red or black.

See why envy appliquers. I never noticed the antenia missing. It would make a great touch to lady bugs.
