I would use a border of the pokadot the same width as the one there now and then add a border of the black and bind it in red. Its a beautiful quilt. thanks for sharing.

I finished putting the borders on! I had bought the red fabric for the back but I am starting to think that I should use the green with the lady bugs. What do you think?

I'd put a border about an inch wider than the braid using that polka dot fabric. Then use the red binding.
I think it's really cute!

I agree with this idea!!

I would use a narrow strip of the red and then a border made out of the black fabric with the ladybugs same as the sashing.

Very cute quilt!!! I love it finished out with the braid...I'd go with the green with the bugs on the back. :D

Love the quilt - the ladybugs are soooooo cute!

I don't think it looks dark at all because of the contrasts. I would put a black border and bind in red. Love the braided border.

How did you do the braided borders? Do you mind sharing the size you cut the pieces? Thanks, in advance!

That is going to be one cute quilt once you have finished! the suggestion (first) sounds very good to me!

I agree totally. I love using the braided borders but for stability always add another wider border as the borders get a lot of tugging and pulling and the braid may or may not tolerate it. Hopefully you have enough fabric to do the above as it's a beautiful quilt. You've done a great job on it as is.
