Ok ladies (and gentleman), these are the fabrics I am considering using for a table topper for my kitchen table that I just painted a glossy white. I need to do something with this block, so I planned the color scheme around it, what do you think? :) Thanks in advance for your comments.

It will be lovely on your white table.

Those colors look good to me. What color is your dinnerware? Curtains?

grayma 09-16-2011 01:29 PM

That is very pretty and will look good on the white table.

I really love it but not that green. You said to be honest!
Loooove the pinwheels and all the other fabric :D

I like it!

Bebbysews 09-16-2011 03:38 PM

I like it all, except the green. I'm sorry, but you wanted us to be honest. You might use a darker, yet brighter green, such as emerald green. I think that would just make the center of the block, pop!

RuthFru 09-16-2011 03:40 PM

Looks nice.

quiltingbee12 09-16-2011 03:41 PM

The green seems rather dull compared to the other fabrics. Otherwise, very pretty! Post a picture when you are done please :)

xsquilter 09-16-2011 03:43 PM

Very, very nice! I agree about the green.....although at first, fast, glance, it looks very good, I would definitely try other greens. Now, I was thinking a paler/softer green, but hey that’s what makes this board fantastic.....everyone has great & different ideas! No harm in trying various shades.

I love it! The blue floral print is really cute. I imagine the green looks washed out on our computers but is a great match in real life.

A1penny 09-16-2011 03:49 PM

Love the colors!

mommamac 09-16-2011 04:05 PM

Looks good from here - thinking the fabrics are from the same line so the green must really match the floral in spite of our computers - remember when you would never think of blue/green together!

Curiosity is making me wonder what the words on the green say?

Monitors all display colors differently, so I am including a close up of the fabrics for clarification. And... thank you all for your honesty. :D

I think if the colors please you and go well with your decor, this will be a very lovely table runner. I really do like your pinwheels.

mommamac 09-16-2011 05:46 PM

the words 'seal the deal' for your runner - go for it & post when complete! :)

on a white table, this will look real nice.

BMP 09-17-2011 03:28 AM

No to that particular green. It jumped out at me and made it hard to see the other 2 fabrics

Zappycat 09-17-2011 03:30 AM

I love the colors... it would work well in my dining room, too!! ; )

mummadee 09-17-2011 03:52 AM

Honestly, I don't like the green, I'd use a white, beige or lighter green. I also don't like the satiny look of the deep blue on the binding. I'd just eliminnate that and end with the print. Forgive me if that is TOO honest.
