I like the first one best.

I like the 2nd one. This is really pretty!
Do you need the floral border for size? Perhaps I'm looking incorrectly, but it seems the first quilt will be smaller?
I like them both. Not sure I can pick a favorite. |

Whats it look like with a narrow strip of the red rather than it being so wide?
Beautiful quilt! I like both, but I think just having the black binding looks great!
I prefer #2
The red makes it look more Asian and I like the idea of a small black one before the red. The lighter one makes the squares show up more and it's the calmest look.
I would like #2 best if the red border was not so wide. Otherwise, I choose #1.
I like the first one.
i like them both
Beautiful quilt!!
I like the idea of having a small black inner border than then the red outer border. The black stops the pattern and gives the eye a place to rest and the red continues to draw the colors and theme of the quilt to the borders. |
I like the first one...very pretty
#1. Your quilt is gorgeous.
Ok, I'm going to make this complicated. I'd do a narrow beige border (background fabric) then another narrow red border, then a wider beige border and probably bind it in black. I know... that's a lot of borders.
sorry. |
I like the black narrow border.
I like the first one. It really lets the red fabric stand out. When you have the red border added, it takes away from the specialness of the red blocks, it draws your eyes to the large red border making the red not special anymore.
I agree with Rusty Quilter, the second one makes it pop. Nice job.
Me too! Beautiful quilt
BLACK
Either one is lovely depending on the look you are trying to achieve. I lean toward the simplicity of #1.
Can you try a narrow black border inside the red also? I think it would frame it nicely and keep it clean as in the first picture.
I like it both ways, whichever one you pick will make it more gorgeous.
I'm not sure which one I like best..they're both nice. But I do love the quilt :)
I like the simplicity of the first one also. Great job.

#1

The red is too much and takes away from the cem]ntre of the quilt. However, I think you need more than just the narrow black edge as the quilt needs a border in my opinion. Perhaps a a mixture of black and red mottled or striped, and then the narrow black border. The quilt is a stunner and shows off the fabric very nicely.
I like both but am partial to the red.
What a stunning quilt....I like the simplicity and beauty of the first one
looks mid century modern with the black border - love it!
I like the first one, the black. It makes the rose squares float

I like the Black
Both are very nice but I like the first one better
I think they both look great. I'd look at what the edge of the quilt will be up against. A bedskirt? Carpet? . Which looks best with that?
Compliments, it is a beautiful quilt, I like the first one.
Your quilt is stunning. The fabric is beautiful. I like the idea of a narrow black border next to the quilt AND then a border of the red. Beautiful work!
I love the black, it seems to intensify the 3D affect of the red center blocks. Very pretty quilt, dramatic in a very pleasing way.
I think a small black border and then the red and bind in black would make a beautiful frame for the inside of this quilt. Beautiful fabric and a very nice job. I can't wait to see what you decide, but you can't lose since looks like the opinions are 50/50 on this. Good luck.

I like the black edge.
