I am curious to know if the white around each block is outlined? I have never seen that before. It looks like some of your pieces are outlined as well.
Very beautiful quilt. You did a nice job!!

I'm going to try to post a picture.

If you didn't pre-wash your fabric, there will be some shrinkage. I would leave the borders, I like how it frames the body of the quilt. You did a beautiful Job!

I like it just like it is. Beautiful quilt!

there isn't much more aggrivating than your bed covers being too short, pulling up and your feet sticking out... unless it is really long-long i would leave it. its hard to tell with it on the floor instead of the bed; but it is nice to have a little extra length.
how much too long is it?

what you are seeing and thinking are little frames is just the seam allowances showing through in the picture, once it is layered and quilted those will not be so apparent.

I'd leave them on too, it is a beautiful top!

I would probably remove the last border at the top (with 4-patch corners), then quilt and bind it as usual. That way I wouldn't have to sacrifice the pattern of the beautiful pieced border hanging evenly around the bed.

Is it long enough to use like a tradional bedspread, tucking the excess under the pillows? It looks too beautiful to take those nice borders off.

The log cabin quilt I made for my DD was like that. She decided it would look fine with no border on the top (that part will be under the pillow shams). So I just left that one off. No one has noticed yet.

It's a beautiful quilt and I would leave the borders on. Just put the pillows under the quilt and tuck the extra under the pillows.
