Looks like you're well on your way to being a top notch quilter. Half square triangles and the colors are fantastic! You're doing great! Keep sharing your quilts with us, please.

Your quilt is lovely great job, you should be quite proud. I would no more have shown the first quilt I made to a group of strangers than fly to the moon. You would have had to be on the moon to not see the hot mess it was and yet my neice loved it and I kept it up.

I also struggle with colors and fabric patterns I don't think it will ever be easy for me but I am getting better.

You did such a great job. Each time you will learn something new.

Welcome to the board you did a good job on your first quilt. I take it you had it quilted by someone else or did you do that as well? You will do fine and until your comfortable with picking out fabrics find one that you love and just pull colors from that you can't go wrong doing that.

Welcome from Massachusetts! When I first started picking fabric for a project, I would go into the quilt shop with the pattern and ask one of the gals if they would like to help me pick out fabric. The gals are more than happy to assist you in "playing" with fabric. It can really be quite fun! Thanks for sharing the picture of your first quilt. It is very pretty.

Welcome from another 'Mountaineer.' Look at loads of quilts and be inspired by the ones you love. (Our quilting forebears assembled quilts from clothing scraps and recycled clothing.....you might choose fabric for a quilt from colors you like to wear.)

Very pretty for sure ..Its hard to pick fabrics..I bought a color wheel to help me out. Sometimes I get it right and others ..well lets just say the furbabies have lots of quilts !LOL :-)
