Noel Solitaire, aka Christmas Cards
4 Attachment(s)
Here is my newest, most beautiful member of the Solitaire family (this is the third and most likely, final offspring of my card tricks quilts using border prints). I just love it. This was professionally quilted by a wonderfully talented lady here in New Hampshire, who declared, on my voicemail, upon completion of the quilting, that, she had "taken picture after picture after picture, and this is the prettiest quilt I have quilted all year. Your masterpiece is ready to be picked up, and if I didn't know how eager you were to get this back, I would have held onto it for a few more days just to show it to everybody!" she said.
There is no commercial pattern for this quilt. There is no kit. I'll make it a point to say that again. There is no pattern for this quilt. The fabrics were deliberated upon, purchased, collected, auditioned, and petted for a time period that ranges from 4 years to 2 days before being made into blocks. Sending my warmest regards to all my friends and buddies here on the QB! |

Congrats, Kutnso |
Sew pretty. I love that attention to detail that is so apparent in your fabric choices as well as your piecing.
|
I think your LAQ was very accurate in her description. The quilt is "out of this world"--beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
|
You have shown me that there is another way to use border prints. They intimidate me. Your work is spectacular! I agree with your quilter. Fabulous quilt!
|
Oh, wow! Your use of fabric is absolutely fantastic. Wish I could look at stripes and see such wonderful blocks. I look at them and think, "they're probably not printed straight and would be a nightmare to use" and put them back. Your insight is amazing!

I never cared for the card trick block as a whole quilt. But yours done with the striped fabric adds a whole new dimension! My bucket list is long, but it now contains a card trick quilt made with stripes. Fantastic quilt.
