Not afraid of curved piecing anymore
 

After years of being equally in awe and afraid of curved piecing, I decided to just dive right in and have a go. I'm especially drawn to New York Beauty blocks and have been using the 10 blocks found here: http://www.lenzula.de/en/pattern/fre...rk-beauty.html

So far I've completed 2 each of blocks 0 & 6. While they're not perfect, I can see and feel the improvement in my technique. At the very least I'm more relaxed and no longer feel anxious when it comes to sewing all those curved pieces together :thumbup:

Thank you everyone! They really are easier than they look and a lot of fun. Of course choosing colours for each block is the hardest part LOL. I'm using scraps from years ago when I used to sew summer dresses for my dd.

I'm so glad I pushed myself to try this - it's opened up a whole new world of quilts for me ... I'm eyeing a Judy Niemeyer pattern next ;)

And you thought you weren't good enough. Well let me say " you are." This will be beautiful and "NO" it's doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be finished. Love everything about it, the colors, the design, the skill. Can't wait to see the finished project.
