Well I finally found it but my eyes were in danger of crossing first. That darling blanket is going to be very busy as will Mommy. Sometimes its better to NOT fix things and make it worse in the process. If you can't stand it fix it, if you can stand it send it on with your love. Mom's going to love it either way.

If it was me, I'd tear it out and redo since its one of the end blocks, it should be fairly simple, but again, that's just me.

Call it your "Humility Block" and quilt it. Chances are she will never notice and if she does, remember, quilts are like people, none are perfect.

I would leave it. If you had not told me I doubt I would ever have noticed and sidskid is right, tell anyone who notices (which they probably won't do) that it is your humility block in the Amish tradition.

Just leave it the way it is and call it a variation.

If one has to hunt to find it I wouldn't worry about it. I just took apart the quilt I'm working on to replace a piece in the middle and it was not fun. I had already quilted close to it and that had to come out too. My booboo was so obvious it screamed at me, I don't know how I missed it. But if it had been a kids quilt I doubt I would have gone to all the trouble.

Oy, eight pages ..........without reading them all, I just want to say that this passes the man on the galloping horse test. It is a beautiful quilt and you can give it with all the love in your heart and know that it will be taken the same way.

Took me several minutes to see it, but I would have never noticed it. If it has to be pointed out, and it is still hard to find, I say "skip it" -- it's a lovely quilt! I'd be proud to give, or receive it.

LOL Penny!

I found it, but it took quite a while to find it. I agree to finish it and give it as a gift. If it was for you, then you would want to fix it or it would drive you crazy.

At the same time, it doesn't look like it would be that hard to take apart and resew. And then again, I love that the Amish put a block in wrong on purpose, so this could easily be that block.

Are you confused yet? I am!
