I like the way k3n described the difference between the octs and hexes. I don't mind piecing either. But if I was undecided about which way to go with a particular fabric, that would be a great way to make the choice. I'm really entranced by all the movement in this one (octs)- all those whirlpools/vortices churning away, while the hexes in the op were much more subdued (because of the blending). Love them both.
