I love it. I have that fabric, or one very similar that I am planning to do a OBW or kaleidoscope with. Hope mine looks as good as yours.

Love it! Brynn, you picked a really cool fabric (which I cannot believe you found at JoAnn's!), which is half the battle. But you made your OBW come out terrific because your did a great job sewing and arranging the blocks. They are fun, aren't they?

I just separated them by value and color and started throwing them on the ground. If I didn't like where a block was, or if it stood out too much, I moved it around. I took most of the day to decide on this layout; I'd move a block or two, do something else, come back to it, realize it looked awful, and move more things. I really like OBW's that have a pillar of color in them, and since the red was so vibrant in this fabric I thought it would be a perfect fit for that style. The book is really helpful for deciding how to lay your blocks out, I highly recommend it.

wow...you are braver than I...bought the book, read it and put the book away....way too intense for me to try...but I do admire the look.....the process sounds like it can really be patience-testing....

It's actually really easy and relaxing once you get into the swing of it. The assembly is a piece of cake, you just have to pay attention to the orientation of the triangles before you sew them together, and after a while I didn't even have to look at the back of the fabrics. Lots and lots of ironing though!
