Very pretty. In the 70s and before all quilt patches had to be cut by hand. No rotary cutters or mats, rulers we have now. I have made three quilts using squares from that time. My Daughter has used lots of the squares in several scrappy quilts.
Very surprising how many were accurately cut. Thank heavens for modern quilt making tools. |
What a great quilt, so glad you finished it.

What a wonderful memory!

You Mom would be happy you finished her quilt. I think the purple polka dot backing goes great with the plaid outside fabrics for the star. Bold.

You're really brave to use a plaid that way. Wow-ee! But it really makes a unique quilt and the colors make it just look happy!

Nicely done.

I'm all for preserving old quilts, even if they aren't family. You quilting is perfect for it.

Well for all those bias sides she did an excellent job of matching the seams. I love the star quilts. Great job.
