my goodness you are going to be very busy by the looks of this but it also looks like you are going to have fun
I would love to be able to chose the fabrics you did with the confidence you have - working on my first quilt and SCARED to DEATH of the outcome!
Goodness, You are as bad as I am. lol
Fun to look at your projects - a lot of variety in what you have planned. Thanks for sharing!
You've got a lot going on!
Wow, you have some serious bucks in that totally wonderful stash. If you ever decide to get rid of it.....
jetnica- My suggestion is to make the pillowcases, they only take an hour and then you'll be on your way to finishing up those projects.
Oh my goodness.I think I will com live with you and we could sew forever and still not use all your stash. I love it.
HOORAY! SNOW DAY!!
I'm going to try to finish up a quilt top that I've been working on since the new year, and then make a dent in some of those projects. A baby shower is this weekend - I hope to have all of her gifts ready in time!! =) |
Petpainter, I'm in the same boat you are in (almost). I am 100% disabled now for several health issues. When I was working, I too bought fabrics for my stash. Now that I am receiving SSI disability, which it pays my bills but not to much left over, I can go through my stash to make my quilts and wall hangings. I see so many others that I would like to have but just can't afford to buy more.

Got two baby bibs done and the embroidery for the fleece car blanket. just finished dinner, gotta run an errand, then it's finishing the blankie and sewing more blocks for the quilt top.
will prolly post pics tomorrow of the baby shower gifts! |
I was sew excited to see all your projects. I probably have more but at this point I will let you be the reigning champ. I was watching a home improvement program and a professional organizer came to help. The pro said that you can only have 2 projects to work on, if you have more they will never be finished. I am glad to see someone seriously working on more than 2 projects.

Finished a quilt top, sending it off to charismah tomorrow to be quilted!

I love that top!

i started it before i got "sick" in november. my boyfriend 'gifted' me all day today to just sew. I made about 10 blocks, trimed up and ironed all 30, and put the top together today. a super productive day. my goal for the week is to get caught up on all the household stuff i've been avoiding in order to get that top done -- then if i have time sunday i'll do some swap blocks. =) |
Love the beautiful deep colors in the baby quilt!! Great job! I can't wait to see it after Charismah is done with it!
Wow!! Wow!! and more Wow!!!!
All very pretty fabrics!!! |
wow...i want to come over to play. why are you teasing me like this.
I must applaud your ability to keep projects and the purchased fabrics together, so you know what you are doing with which.
I have a bad habit of grabbing whatever is handiest to do a project that just HAS to be done right now (the gift of procrastination), consequently, the patterns go up on the peg board, the fabric is in another project and the scraps are waiting to become something totally unrelated to their beginning destinations! You have done well (in my opinion <g>) <wave> |
Hahahaha!! Your list is as long as mine!! If I stopped buying today, I could work on quilts and other things for well over a year, and still not be finished.
Whewwww!!! :-) |
Your fabric choices would fit very nicely into my stash.

FOrget buying fabric, just get a bunch of flat rate boxes and we can send them all around to each other ... oh, that won't wait because if I send you a container and you send me a container then we still have fabric - - hmmm ... however, I haven't figured out if I am addicted to the fabric or I just like to spend $$$ - - why does spending money make us feel "rich"? <wave> |

Here's a couple of finished projects:
Custom Order - Quilted by Charismah psiquilt Pinwheel Quilt-A-Long -- Quilted by Charismah "Potato Chip Bag" |
I loved seeing all of your projects! I recently went through my fabric and counted out how many quilts I have waiting to make. I have 17 and I thought that was alot! Someday I will get to them all! If it takes me a few years, I will get it done! Makes me feel better having all the coordinating fabric together and choosing a pattern for each. To me it becomes a work in progress instead of buying fabric just because I like it. I am great at justifying my purchases!
Good looking.
Oh My, that's a lot of projects! You'll be busy for a while.
Wow!!! You have alot of FUN ahead of you!!! Alot of beautiful fabrics too!
I only dream of being organized enough to know how many I have!
Looks like you should pick one & get started... I just finished a WIP from 1999. I am very proud of myself! I figured it was silly to leave it folded up in a drawer, only needing quilting & a binding.... even though I don't care for those colors any longer; some one will, ... maybe my dog.
I would be PROUD to own your stash
Wow you certainly have a wonderful sense of color and creativity! I love the idea of photographing the projects. So often it's out of sight out of mind for me. I think if I had photos to turn to I'd be more ilikely to finish what I had on hand. You are an inspiration.

WOW !
