The first one.
Reverse the colors in the second one and make the darker color the center and the center color the outer color and it will look great. |

I would like to receive either, but love how the star dominates in the first one. If you are looking for a "star" quilt, I would go with it. The second strikes me as more of a "seasonal" block than a "star" block (hope that makes sense).
