Which one of these quilts would you make? I have put the original patterns into EQ7 so I could size and color them to what I wanted. I am really leaning towards the Evening Star as there's just something about stars in quilts for me.

The Evening Star is just calling to me, so I think that will be the one. As luck would have it, my quilting friend and I are going on a local quilt shop hop this Friday and Saturday, so I guess I know what I'll be on the lookout for!! I'm thinking rich deep color batiks - yes?
I'm taking a couple of weeks off of work for the Christmas holidays and have decided that this will be my project. Now I'm really jazzed - the time off from work can't come soon enough!!

I agree. I'm set on the Evening Star for this color combo, but still have the other on my ever growing "someday" list! I got that pattern a couple of years ago and keep pulling it out every so often. This was the closest it came to actually being "the one". I know it will hit the top of the list sooner or later!!

Evening Star really pops. You made a good choice.

I have to give my quilting friend the credit for the color combo. She purchased a bunch of batiks in that combo for a completely different style of quilt. I started drooling the instant she showed me her fabrics. So, I'm going to "borrow" her color ideas!! (she's totally okay with that!!). She's the one I'm "hopping" with this weekend, so she'll be on the lookout for "my" fabrics along with me! Quilting buddies are the best!

I to love the second one , but I have never been a huge fan of stars, I love the color combo!

If I were selecting I would do the second one but the first star is beautiful. The second one for me because I stear myself away from many triangles. Just haven't gotton the knack of those points all matching.

I love the stars. The points scare me so I would have to make the one with the squares. But, I think YOU should go with the stars. I'm looking forward to seeing yours!
