That is obvious from your avatar. I lean in that direction very heavily. And they don't scare me.

I don't think I know how to give up. God continues to give me strength. Philippians 4:13

I don't know how to make a top, just how to quilt!

But now I don't feel too bad about my "going on three year" old quilt! Your quilt is beautiful

One day at a time, sweet Jesus.

darlenedowns 09-28-2011 05:31 AM

Wow and I thought I was the only quilter that took my time to make it right lol I take so long to finish a quilt that I am trying to finish a queen size for my DD in a year lol
Thanks for not letting me be the only one
You are such a troop

I confessed to the whole world.

Press on, girl; you're going to make it.

sandpat 09-28-2011 05:40 AM

Well hey.....you DID finish it! And it was well worth it..its really pretty!

Rann 09-28-2011 05:52 AM

Don't feel bad. It took me 8.5 years to learn to hand roll a decent biscuit. My then husband could roll the prettiest "cat heads" I've ever seen.

rosemaynes 09-28-2011 06:23 AM

How funny... but I like it.

grannypat7925 09-28-2011 06:37 AM

Worth the wait I'd say. It is gorgeous!

quiltymom 09-28-2011 07:00 AM

Girl, what are you waiting for? Doesn't this make you want to finish it?

Grandma Peg 09-28-2011 07:39 AM

Very nice and a good feeling to get a UFO done.

You think that you should share your secret on here under "Recipes"?

debcavan 09-28-2011 07:45 AM

I can see that. If it is a block of the month, it isn't always in the colors that we love and enjoy. So we do the work but once the deadlines lapse and there is none for finishing, we set it aside for someday when we have time.

Congrats on finishing it.

Tweety2911 09-28-2011 08:48 AM

Beautiful, nice colors.

PATTIESPEARL 09-28-2011 09:14 AM

I made a quilt out of some of these but I only used 1 pattern. I still have a bunch of these left. I bought daisy fabric from joanns for the sashing. It is pretty. So is yours.

Ain't nothing slow about me!

Hoooooo! I picked up two sets of these a couple of years ago at Hancock's for 50 cents each and mine are STILL in the UFO stage! Soon, I hope!

katkat1946 09-28-2011 10:30 AM

Don't look in my multiple bins filled with incomplete projects! It does feel good to get one done, doesn't it! Love blues & yellows together.

OMGOsh, I have the same Hancocks quilt hanging down the hall by my little reading nook. My mom hand pieced it. I remember these blocks. I even have 5-6 still here in the packages. I keep finding them laying around. I sold the last bunch on the Qb too. What a good memeory. It was a long time ago. Your quilt is beautiful. Even years later. And never out of style for a quilt.

Somebody borrowed my Number 10 pattern, and I've never gotten it back. I finished one more by this pattern and am in the process of making another one. However, they are entirely different looking because of the fabric.

gramquilter2 09-28-2011 11:54 AM

Your colors are really nice. Congratulations on finishing a UFO.

Wanabee Quiltin 09-28-2011 03:57 PM

Well, it might have taken you 8 years to do this, but you sure did a good job.

PATTIESPEARL 09-28-2011 06:13 PM

Mine is made with the middle block in the top row. I pieced mine by hand and hand quilted it.I think mine is called a square within a square.

Nettie Phillips 09-28-2011 06:19 PM

Pretty quilt. The one I am working has been that long or more.

Buckeye Rose 09-28-2011 06:23 PM

I Love it! Brights are my favorite and the colors in this one are amazing!

Jan T 09-28-2011 06:32 PM

Your Avatar proves that you have accomplished other things while this BOM "rested." A very nice sense of accomplishment comes with every finish, no matter how long it takes!
