This quilt started out as a Hancock Fabrics Block of the Month Club in 2003 and ended in 2004. In 2006, I had it quilted by a local longarm quilter. Last night I finally finished the binding.

Ain't nothing slow about me!

it's beautiful. and you prob were working a full time job, raising a family, and keeping a husband. oh, and you had a house, and prob had to cook in there. way to go super woman.

Congratulations. It sometimes takes me a long time to get around to binding a quilt as well. Then I can't find the fabric I used in the quilt. It has become lost in my stash or possibly used for another project. Ughh. Now I make the binding right away and put it in a drawer so when I get the quilt back from the longarm quilter or decide to finally bind it, I have the right fabric and the binding is all ready to put on. Learned this the hard way.

Those colors look wonderful together. I have quilt tops that I need to finish that are a little older than that. You inspire me to keep at it!!

That is just one of many. I started attempting to make a quilt in late 2002. I didn't know how to quilt; therefore, I went crazy making tops. I loved the puzzle aspect of it and putting all those colors together.

I'm going to keep on keeping on, and I pray that you do as well.

That's very pretty. Doesn't matter how long it takes to do, it's the finishing that counts.

Thank you. I named that one "Strings of Purple." It is the Spider Web pattern.

I had just started trying to make quilt blocks in November the year before. This Quilt Block Club started in March 2003. I joined and went every month and made my block. In 2006, I had it quilted by a longarm quilter. It hung on a large hanger until I started putting on the binding last year. Something else came along, and it got put up again.

Now it is finished. Praise the Lord!

I don't know how to make a top, just how to quilt!

But now I don't feel too bad about my "going on three year" old quilt! Your quilt is beautiful

catladyquilts 09-28-2011 04:43 AM

Good for you. It is a great feeling when you finish something you started a while ago. I have lots of unfinished projects, but am working on them.
