Opps!

What do you do when you are already quilting a wallhanging and you notice that a tip of the top of your leaf didn't get sewn into the seam allowance? It was too late to go back and fix the boo boo without making a mess so .......I added a tiny needle tatted butterfly.

What you did. Looks good....an no one need ever know...unless you point it out
Great job on the wall hanging. That was a great idea with the butterfly. Tatting is a lost art. You are fortunate you learned that one!
Love your wall hanging..I would have done the same thing! Very smart!
that's SO clever! & it looks great! Oops is my all time favorite 4-letter word. :D
Good thinking. Looks like it belongs there. Love the wallhanging.
Love it, what a good idea.
See, not an oops, now it's a design element.
Makes it even better...very pretty!
Perfect! I just looks like a planned detail.
Great thinking! It's beautiful.
Looks intentional to me, especially the way you quilted it. It's beautiful!
On a small pillow, I had 4 blocks and tried unsuccessfully 3 times to make them match up in the center. Stopped before I wore the fabric out and slapped a appliqued rose on top. Everybody loved the flower in the center! |
Very creative! No one will ever know but us!
I love it. Just did the right thing. A very pretty wall hanging. You are very creative.
How springy and cheerful on this cold winter day!
Very nice. Great idea!
This is beautiful. May I ask what pattern you may have used? Thanks!
I think it is perfect! No one will ever know!

Such a perfect addition. I think a few more would liven the wall hanging up and add a very nice touch. You are so creative.
There are never mistakes in quilting...only creative adjustments. You made a great one!
Beautiful and I like the butterfly too. I am the same way when I find a mistake. Oh well just do something else to fix it.
Oh, I think that fix is PERFECT! lol

Nice wall hanging and nice save!
A nice touch . No one will know and think that is just so pretty.
Handy little creatures these butterflies:). Looks great, clever fix.
What a clever way of hiding something. Don't forget that quilters don't make mistakes - they just add extra design features!
very pretty!
I love it...
Creativity at its best and it looks so cool.
Great idea, I am going to have to remember this next time.
Very pretty. That is so neat. When I make a boo boo that is to painstacking to go back and repair, I applique over it.
My grandaughter loves butterflys...she would fall in love with this quilt--she absolutely loves flowers and butterflys!
Beautiful! |
