For our military room at Albany airport.

This quilt will be donated to the military room. The service people are told they can take the quilt with them. One pic is full view and the other is just a pretty presentation.

very nicely done... the appliqued stars add a lot

As the mother of a military member, I would be blown away to get this quilt. It puts tearsm in my eyes. Thank you so much for caring and giving to them. You are very special. Are there lots of quilts put in the room for them to take?
|
very nice.
|
We make the quilts throughout the year and always make sure there is a supply for their use in the room. Your response makes it all worthwhile. I will share your thought with our Guild members. It will truly be an inspiration. TY

That is a beautiful quilt. I can't tell you how wonderful you all are to do this. I've never heard of this before and I think it's just fabulous. Our military deserves the best of everything and you and your group are doing your part. Bless you all and thank you for caring and sharing. There's a special place in heaven for people like you.

Lovely quilt. I especially love all the patriotic colors that you put together.
|
Our quilt guild has been making quilts for military personnel. Each one is given to a service man or women when they return from duty and we gave one to our VFW commander who has been there for many, many years. Each is given in love.

What a beautiful idea and a wonderful quilt to contribute to it. Thank you and your guild for your generosity. Joyce in Delaware

I love this idea and wonder whether you know if other airports in NY do this also? I'm in the Syracuse area and would love to contribute to a similar program at our airport if it's available.
I don't belong to a guild or anything, but would donate quilts as I am able to make them. |
I never knew the Albany airport had a "military room". My dh is retired Air Force.
|
Great quilt and cause. Vets deserve so much from us. I am a vet but was never in a war. God Bless you.
|
The military room at the Albany Airport is called "John's Room". John McKenna was killed in Iraq in 2006. John grew up in Brooklyn, NY - he went to the same school as my kids. His mom & I were on the PTA together. He was a NYS police trooper. What a great way to remember John.
|
I really like what you did with the stars that makes it pop
|
Love it. Great project.
