It looks like we are missing a couple of quilters ... is everyone all right? :-(

mamatobugboo 12-04-2009 08:05 AM

I haven't heard from everyone yet about mailing out the latest round, so I will give everyone the weekend and then send out an email just to those who are silent to see how they are doing!

rootyr 12-04-2009 08:08 AM

Do you have some ideas? I can hardly wait!
OH, MY, GOSH!
They do get like your own, don't they?
LOL ... the first time I got married, I married a package ... man and little girl ... two weeks in, I knew ... I had made a mistake ... but, I had put two weeks of MY time into that little girl, and I wouldn't leave without her!
So, now we know ... I am a possessive obsessive person!
LOL

collettakay 12-18-2009 05:22 PM

I'm starting to get concerned. I haven't received any centers from this group yet. Does anyone know the status. I know there were some changes, but I thought it would be back on track by now.

Does anyone know?

I have my centers from two other groups, but not from group ten ... :-(

mary quite contrary 12-18-2009 06:13 PM

I believe I am part of the changes. I mailed my block. I participated in the last IRR and I am ready to get going on this one. Thanks for giving me the privilege of joining you.

omak 12-18-2009 06:40 PM

Oh! I see ... I had to go back to the rounds lists to see why y'all were telling me about not mailing your centers ... (never mind me ... sometimes, I have the memory capacity of a gnat!)
You just relax and I will practice more patience ... I didn't/wouldn't want you to think I am impatient ... no one needs that sort of pressure at Christmas time... you just have a joyous and Merry Christmas with lots of love and hugs ... I will be here at the ranch <g> doing whatever ranchers do! LOL

mamatobugboo 01-05-2010 11:53 AM

Hi Ladies!

Checking in on everyone's progress and how everyone is doing with their center's AND the New Year!!!

Blessings to all!

Knot Sew 01-05-2010 12:27 PM

we don't have many pictures here do we. I have to start thinking of what to add to the one I have....I tucked it away at xmas...time to get it out again :-D

mamatobugboo 01-05-2010 12:40 PM

no there aren't that many pictures! I put everything away, including my quiltinboard visits during Xmas while the kids were out of school and need to get back into the swing of things also. I have posted the pictures of centers/borders I completed and will do that for each round.

Happy sewing!

omak 01-05-2010 07:33 PM

I am practicing being well-behaved. 8-)

mamatobugboo 01-06-2010 06:08 AM

Omak, I have a feeling that takes a LOT of practice for you  !!

Ahhhhh, a kindred spirit! I like that!

omak 01-06-2010 11:58 PM

Well, I saw a gal a few years back who was wearing a button that said, "I am a *****"
and, I thought #1 that is TASTELESS!
and, if you are ...
why don't you just let people find it out the hard way?
sheesh!
on the other hand, I never let her any closer than arms length to me and mine, so maybe that wasn't such a bad deal.
all I know is: If someone wants to call me a name, or put me in a category ... I sure am not going to help em! <g>

collettakay 01-11-2010 08:18 AM

I still haven't gotten any centers from this group. Should I be worried?

WHoa! Who was supposed to send to you?
*sinking feeling that somehow my name may be attached to the any center thing*

    :-( :?

collettakay 01-11-2010 12:30 PM

Mardi was supposed to send to me first, but I know there were changes there.

Then it was supposed to be TexasQuilts and I would do 2 rounds there. But I haven't gotten anything yet.

mary quite contrary 01-11-2010 04:55 PM

I am taking Mardi's place. I made my center with round 1 and sent it to Steph. I believe we will make this work. I haven't received anything yet but I'm assuming I will.

I participated last time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oklahoma Suzie 01-13-2010 06:02 AM

Love the red, white and blue.

sandpat 01-16-2010 03:32 PM

Ladies....just a reminder that will apply to ALL the rounds. You MAY use multiple borders to make up the size required for that round. For instance....you can add a 2" and a 3" to make the 5" border, or you could use a 1" and a 4"...and so on. This can be done for ALL the rounds and it makes figuring out the math easier for those "odd" sizes.

Next mailing is 15 Feb....don't forget your postcards/FQ's if you group is enclosing them! As alway, if you are having trouble or a problem...holler at your point person or me... Have FUN!!

Knot Sew 01-21-2010 06:04 AM

I am working on round 3 of the one I have. What has happened that some people have not had any yet? I never recieved anything about different members in this group. Do we still have 6 members? :? :?

sandpat 01-21-2010 06:22 AM

Ruth...this group has hit a tiny "bump" in the road, but Steph is working to get things straightened out...patience my friend. I'm here to step in if needed..the quilt centers are beautiful and need to keep going. Please work with Steph to help insure that everything moves forward, you know, sometimes life happens and we all just work around it.

omak 01-21-2010 08:34 AM

I am still here <wave> JUST checking in 8-)

ATTENTION!!!!!! We now have a Virtual Section for the IRR. Please, if you are interested in keeping up with all the threads, go to this link and click on the subscribe button. You will then be able to see in your main menu when new posts are added to any of the threads.

Hopefully, here is the link

How is this different from my "watching" all those threads?

I'm here patiently waiting.

I wonder if there is an explanation about the virtual aspect in the Administration section of the board? Like, if we go to the main Quilt place that shows all of the categories?

mamabird3 01-21-2010 10:21 PM

Great!!! I love being able to just click on it and have all the links for the IRR come up. Thanks!

Is this what you're looking for Omak? http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-30553-1.htm#735683

:-D :-D

mamatobugboo 01-22-2010 06:21 AM

Hello members of group 10! To keep you uptodate - one member had to drop out because of illness in the family but we have her replacement in Maryquitecontrary! Another member is "missing" because of illness with her father - and I'm not sure where her center is or what she has at her house.

My fear is that TexasQuilts sent her center to our member who had to drop out and it is still with her and has not been forwarded on or returned. I am in the process of communicating with her.

So far, omak and colletta have received nothing (because of the situations with TexasQuilts and Mardi) and that is our problem. knotsew - you must have Colletta's? I have maryquitecontrary's (to get her caught up) and Omak's by way of Knot Sew.

So, when I have finished them, Mary's will go to Omak and Omak's to TexasQuilts, if I have an update from her on her status, if not, I will send directly to Mary.

I will keep you up to date.

Please be patient. We may have to alter the schedule a bit to accomodate our "found" centers getting caught up on the borders and the quilts may be one border short at the end, but we will finish!

Thanks!

Steph

PS - just realized that Texas Quilts should also have my center and KnotSew's center - yikes.

sandpat 01-22-2010 06:23 AM

k3n, Thanks for providing the link for omak. I see the main difference as that all the links are grouped together and its way less cumbersome than the email notifications (which we sometimes miss out on). The only thing I don't like about it so far is that when it tells you there are "unread posts"..it takes you to page 1 of the thread...I don't like that.

Hi Steph, if you have quilts short of a border at the end of the IRR, please let me know. I'd be happy to add a border to one. I'm sure there'd be others who'd be willing to step in and help out too. Keep us posted. Meanwhile, my thoughts are out to Mardi and Texasquilts praying that all will be well soon.

Knot Sew 01-24-2010 06:11 AM

Thats even more confusing...Mardi is out; Is Texas Quilts in or out?

Yes I have the deer center. I send to the next on the list...on Feb 15 th?

sandpat 01-24-2010 06:20 AM

Ruth...Mardi has stepped out and maryquitecontrary stepped in to take her place.

Texasquilts has officially had to step out of this one due to some serious health issues involving her family. She is sending on the tops that she has (yours included) to the next person.

Steph and I are working to figure out the smoothest way to get back on track...the group will continue, the tops will continue to be mailed on schedule and everyone will still end up with a beautiful quilt...no worries...its just a bump we need to work around.

Lets just send well wishes to both Mardi and Texasquilts for their family members.

mamatobugboo 01-24-2010 09:11 AM

Thanks everyone for your offers for help with our Group. i will be in contact with my group by email soon to get everyone up to date on what is going on. We have some decisions to make as a group! We will continue and we will finish - just how we do that is what we will be deciding!

So, we are on the move!
