I thought 'out'would be better, but once I looked at the pic, I changed my mind---'in' looks better to me.

I like them pointing in.

Sorry Klue, but I like them out. But then you know what an old fashioned quilter I am.I feel like they take away from the center facing in.With them pointing out, the center becomes the point that your eye is drawn to .
that's just me. |
oooooooooooooooo pretty

That's some mighty fine work.
In the close up of the points in was impressive, but when you pulled back for a wider view, I think the points need to be out. Your inside design is movement. The prairie points tell a story of their own ... if they are pointing in, then I begin to feel that the world is closing in on the movement, and they also tend to fade into the background. When the points are pointing out, the fabric is a lighter color, thus more noticeable and it makes me feel as though the inner movement is moving toward me. It is a beautiful work of quilting. |
I'm going to vote for "Points Facing In". It reduces the size of the purple area, keeping the focus more on the center. But if the purple area were 1"-2" narrower top, bottom and sides, I would have voted the other way.

I just asked my 7 year old son and he said outwards! I often ask him opinions becuase he's got a pretty good eye and he just says what he thinks, not what he thinks I want to hear! This time he disagrees with me but hey, that doesn't mean he's wrong! LOL

IN!
They look so pretty when they point in. If they pointed out what kind of binding would you use? Would it be covered by the points? |
I love them in because it is different. Beautiful!
