Don't know how much good it will do you, but here is one I made for my 4 yo DGD.

Here's the simple apron I made for my 2 1/2 yr old DGD. You can't tell from the picture, but there is a pocket across the entire bottom. The pin at the neck strap was temporary until I could check the size on her.

Living the Dream, that is adorable! Love the fabric!

where is everyone getting the cupcake fabric?????????? I have been searching high and low for BIG cupcake fabic.

cute aprons!!!!!!!

arbed31 11-10-2010 05:48 PM

I don't have a picture but I made one for my mom. I lined it with muslin so that I would not have to turn the edges and sew that tiny hem (hate it).

txstitcher 11-10-2010 05:50 PM

I just did a search for "Cupcake Fabric" and came up with these resources...

txstitcher 11-10-2010 05:51 PM

Oops...didn't work.

Go here:

then do a search for cupcake fabric

Good luck!

All the aprons shown are cute!!
I am sharing my "Butt apron" Machine embroidered on the top portion of the apron.

RedGarnet222 11-10-2010 06:22 PM

Sharon that is so cute! I love your butt apron. Does that belt go though the loops to make it tie?

Sharon M 11-10-2010 06:30 PM

Yes the tie is just a piece of fabric looped through the jean belt loops and ties in the back.

Here are a few I've made, using the same pattern. There is another one that apparently I didn't take a picture of...same pattern, but done in nautical prints.

I love the little girls aprons, they are so adorable. My 3 yr old ggranddaughter loves to help in the kitchen and I would like to make her some. Right now I use the big bibs that they use in nurseing homes for their patients. Could you possibly share the name of the pattern and where you got it.

Thanks so much for sharing your work with us.

Pat -

I found it online, here is a link:

http://sewliberated.typepad.com/Mont...ds%20Apron.pdf

The apron pattern is meant to fit a 3-6 year-old. If your child is younger or older, you will need to make the necessary alterations in the length of the apron.

Awww so cute. I should make one for my grandaughter.

Fabaddict 11-11-2010 06:44 AM

I don't know if I am glad they are coming back or not. I used to have lots and lots of aprons, gave most of them away. Did keep a few though - special ones, and have a few that belonged to my mother.

Fabaddict 11-11-2010 06:45 AM

oops. THose that are shown are really lovely. Love the colors and styles.

This is one I made for the owner/baker of a restaurant in town. She loved it. It was reversible, the other side had chili peppers on black background. I did not have a model, so I had to use my box fan....

Has anyone mad an apron from a panel? I have a couple of flag ones I want to make for my kids, but not sure how. Do you just roll the edges then sew it down, or do I need to cut some muslin and use if for the backing? Thanks for the help.

kriscraft99 11-11-2010 07:06 AM

I would back the panel with something to make it have more body. I like to make mine reversible :)
