Questionable Fabric Choice
 

Help! My fabric choices didn't come out as I had hoped! Made this quilt top at a Serger Class but can't decide if I want to invest more $$$ to finish the quilt or just dice it up for my stash! And yes, you can piece a quilt using your serger!!!!

Please finish it and see how it becomes a real beauty...

I would finish it if it was mine. You might be surprised with how pretty it is finished. If you don't like it, I am sure that any of the organizations taking charity quilts would be most appeciative if they received this happy quilt. I think the colors are nice and fresh, any have you considered using the gold tone fabric for the binding?

I don't think the colors are bad. And quilting really brings quilt tops to life. I'd finish it.

I love it and think you will to after its quilted. The quilting has a way of bringing our quilts to life.

I think your quilt is beautiful. I have felt that way about a lot of quilts but when the batting, backing, quilting and binding is done they totally change and I loved each and every one of them. Please finish it and I bet you will fall in love too.

I think it is lovely & you should finish it. It will look different once it's done and you may find that you or a family member really likes it. If not, there are many organizations that would welcome a donation of a hand crafted quilt. Think about it before you decide to cut it up.

Once it is quilted you will be amazed how it comes to life!!!

Over my years of quilting , I have come to learn ... the final quilting does not make me love something more than before its quilted if I am not happy about the colors/pattern. Maybe put it aside for a few weeks and come back and review it... if you are still not "feeling it" ... find a charity to donate it to. Nothing says you have to live with an"error" forever...

Don't know why YOU don't like it, as many of us find it very pleasing. But as others have suggested, find a donation destination and pass it on...win-win solution!

Don't like it, don't want it than send it to me. I promise I'll find it a good home.

Consider Gold tones to finish it off with.

No way would I cut it up.

That is awesome. yes finish. You just can't ever go wrong on a quilt. Most of the time no one know you don't like the colors. Someone will.

I think it is worth finishing...actually love the look....very calming....looks like ripples on a lake...

Thanks for everyones input...............................will take it to the quilt shop and figure out the binding and backing.........someone mentioned carrying the gold to the binding which might help break things up a bit....will finish it and post completed quilt!!!!

I'm with others - FINISH it!!! I do quilting for others. I've gotten in some quilts that quite frankly, I thought were ugly. Once they are quilted and bound they take on a different life!!!!! I think you'll be pleased with this one!

i find when i have a quilt i dont like i put it away for a bit then when i take it out to quilt it i usualy like it a bit more and even better when its quilted.
