I rushed through this project to get it done in time for a birthday gift. The top is made of her favorite dresses (and one of mine when I was her age, too), cupcake material, pinks (some from the swaps here) and some fussy cut squares of dresses and dolls. This is my first completed pieced project, first pieced backing, first bigger machine quilting, and first border! Whew! That's a lot of firsts.
Bear with me, I did it in just a week. Several people have told me better to be done than perfect. Thank you for that fantastic advice. All my best, RETRO :-D |

Thanks so much for your kind comments, everyone! My little princess is 4. The project went faster than I imagined. I just did a bit each day...of course, I do lose all sense of time in my sewing room...maybe I DID skip sleep now that I think of it---just kidding.
It feels so good to get something done. Our routines get very hectic mid-August through October (and again in spring), so this is probably the only thing I'll complete anytime soon :lol: . I wanted to learn applique this year, think I can do it in the next 2 weeks??? :!: RETRO |
