I was sitting here looking at my pile of scraps leftover from all the bow tucks totes I made and thought they would make a nice scrappy quilt. So I made a bunch of nine patches with the scraps and used chocolate brown and teal solids for the hour glass blocks. It's only 42 x 50 so far, so there's plenty room to grow.
Any ideas for borders? |
How pretty.

Wow, I really like your scrappy 9P!
Something I will HAVE to do!! |
Nice use of scraps! Very colorful!
I like the red that you have in on.
Beautiful quilt and great use of your scraps!!
Very pretty!
Very pretty quilt. I'd like to see a paisley border.
Love what you did here. How about using a color like what it is laying on for the border. It looks like pink on my monitor and looks good.
With the chocolate and teal blocks, I think a raspberry colored fabric would be nice. Not sure what print I'd look for though :)
Beautiful quilt
very nice :)

Someone has been very busy making bags! Your quilt is great. Maybe the chocolate brown and the pink stripe with a thin raspberry binding.
Very Nice!! Great use of your scraps!!
Thanks for the excellent idea! I also have tons of left-overs from Bow Tucks that I have made.
You have a gorgeous quilt going! You do lovely work!
Wow, love it
I think I would do a thin pink border then a wider chocolate one.
Very pretty...I think pink, teal then bind with chocolate. But whatever you come up with this will shine...it's really beautiful.
Looks Great!!! Look forward to seeing it when finished.

Really like the teal & brown to anchor the scraps & pull it all together. Thanks for posting.
Very nice - great ways to put those scraps to good use!!
Love it! I would do a chocolate boarder! But Im a chocolate freak!
Pretty, Pretty, Pretty. I love it! Now I know I'm doing alright. I took the pretty charmpacks and making D9P with the dark brown in the middle. Now I know how wonderful the blue sets it off. Thanks for posting. Love it!

Love brown and turquoise together! I would border it with the brown. But it will probably look good with anything.
Great so far! Maybe add a small brown border followed by a big pink print~
It's very pretty!
Fabulous use of scraps!!
That is a beautiful top :) |
I like your scrappy quilt. What about a different shaped border? Like triangles brown and the blue - it wouldn't be fun to bind but it would be cool to look at.
Great Idea! love all the colors together.
Whatever it's laying on makes a great border. Maybe you could get a solid that color. The quilt is beautiful; you must have made a lot of bow tuck bags (I just saw my first one in person last night).
Great quilt
Quite impressive. I just love it! You have a great eye for layout! Good job. Can't wait to see it finished.
