How sweet! I had been asked to make one for a teen who had a tragic death, so hard, I know... Hard to touch the clothes of someone who should be there!

But I know the Mom of this teen tells me how she and her remaining child wrap themselves up in the quilt. This mom just lost her husband also... so hard!

Chele 03-23-2011 10:34 AM

It was so nice of you to make that for the family. It turned out so cute.

As a grandmother of 18 month old twins, I can't imagine the loss this family is feeling. It's such a sweet quilt and I'm sure it will be treasured always. It brings tears to my eyes just looking at the individual blocks.

My eyes are also wet. I have a 19 month old lil guy an i can't imagine my life with out him. The quilt is beautiful. And perfect for Mamma to just curl up with it and remember her angle.

samifel 03-23-2011 06:47 PM

I made quilts for my grandchildren for christmas and used some of their Dad's pj's and shirts. The lost him the year before. I was a hard thing to do, but when they opened them, the took them and wrapped up in them. The kids are 4,7,9,13. A quilt like that enables someone to wrap their lost one around them...

You did a great job...well done

debcavan 03-23-2011 06:49 PM
