Precious quilt, and the playhouse is just too precious!

I'm not sure...the felt of course needs no hemming and its pretty easy to invisibly hand applique because the material is so thick...regular fabric would need hemming or lining and that could end up being a bigger PITA than the felt. William (who got the dino quilt and lives next door) will be getting a playhouse later this summer, we haven't decided what theme for him. His Mom doesn't sew so I said I will help her, and we saw some cute camping tent playhouses on someones website so we might do a cammo fabric for that one.

That's the cutest card table playhouse I've ever seen! I made one much less elaborate than that, and I'm sure it took me longer. You have done beautiful work for these kids, and I'll bet they'll be telling their kids about it one day.

I also love the dino quilt, and especially the idea of enlarging the motifs from the fabric to create your applique designs. It's great, and very inspiring. Thanks for showing these!

OMG that is the most wonderful playhouse i have ever seen. my grandson would love it. he is only 2 so think i will wait a year or two to make him one. oh, maybe it's grandma that loves it.

You should do a internet search for card table playhouses...I have seen some really cute designs. I have seen a pet store, a garage, a tent, an ice cream shop. As tired as I am of that stinkin thing (you should see the aftermath in my sewing room, lol) I am excited to do a garage or adventurers tent for William. Next month, lol!

I have never seen anything so creative and adorable. I remember playing under tables with quilts on top to close it in when I was a little girl. I had only my imagination to make it fun, but what great ideas you have for this. I want to copy this, so I hope you consider it absolute flattery. Hey, I copied it from someone else, so its ok with me. It was really fun to make, even if it turned out to be a much bigger project than I intended.

My boss and I are going to barter, she wants one for her grandkids, and she keeps bees, so I am trading her one for a bunch of local blackberry honey. I plan to give it away as Christmas presents, so its a worth trade for me.
