Quilt of Valor, Trip Around the World
1 Attachment(s)
I just put the last border on this Trip Around the World quilt, which will be a Quilt of Valor after I get it sandwiched and quilted.
I think it turned out rather well, and I hope the veteran who gets it likes it. Does anyone know if a vet gets to select his/her quilt or is that decision made by someone else? Dina |
that's beautiful -- colors are perfect.
Beautiful quilt.
Beautiful QOV quilt. Thank you for using your fabric and talents to honor a veteran.
I don't know how the presentation process works, but whomever receives this lovely quilt will cherish it.
Just gorgeous....love it......
OMgoodness, that is gorgeous and will be so appreciated
beautiful job!!!
Thank you for remembering our service men. They come back often with physical problems as well as with mental and emotional issues. My son has been out the service several years and is just now appearing somewhat normal after dealing with PTSD. Unfortunately, PTSD is never "cured". It strikes at unexpected times.
Thank you for making this beautiful quilt to honor one of our veterans.
Just beautiful, Dina!
Good fabric choices. A vet will enjoy this one.
It's beautiful. Thank you for your contribution .
How kind and thoughtful of you to make such a beautiful quilt. It will mean a lot to someone.
Your quilt is lovely. Thank you for putting your time and efforts and fabrics into such a beautiful cause. The Veteran who receives this will treasure this for many wonderful naps or nights of sleep for sure.
I love it. I would of never thought of that pattern for a Qov but you hit it right on the mark. Your quilt is beautiful and who ever gets it will be brought to tears with graditude. Well done.
Beautiful. Some vet will be so pleased.
Beautiful quilt-you did a wonderful job. Thank you so much for remembering our veterans that serve our country so we can live with great freedom.
Very nice!!! You did a great job!
Ooh la la! Very inspiring!
Thank you for remembering our servicemen/woman. A beautiful quilt indeed.
Very nice quilt for a good cause.
Beautiful quilt, and thank you for making it for a veteran. I think different organizations have different processes for distributing the quilts. I have read that some get to choose.
My husband received a Quilt of Valor and they simple walked up and were handed a quilt which was beautiful and now treasured. Maybe some places do it differently.
That is beautiful. Some service member will be thrilled with this one.
This is just beautiful. You made a gorgeous quilt.
Lovely quilt! Super job.
Wow! Lovely.
Thanks, for the kind words everyone. Now to get it sandwiched and quilted. :)
Dina |

It came out beautifully.
I am in a QOV group and generally, the vet does not get to choose their quilt. Sometimes, a member of the QOV group can pick one out for a particular vet (if they know one they want to give it to), but the recipient cannot choose. The quilts are made, labeled, and presented by the QOV group. |
Beautiful job.!!! Love it!!!
Nice Quilt of Valor Trip Around the World.

What a beautiful quilt any service person would be proud to receive this beauty.

Beautiful. Also Thank you! Our local chapter selects the veterans who receive a quilt. But the quilts are handed out at random. But if there is a quilt with say , Snoopy in a airplane it will go to a Air Force vet.Thought will be give to things like that, or if there is a female vet and someone has made a quilt more suited for a lady.I have not ask my friends if you make a quilt and want a certain vet to receive it, if that request is honored. Hope this answered your question. But thank you again, and everyone else who take their time this for wonderful project.
