Great way to fill those big open spaces. I can't wait to see the whole quilt because I bet this will form a very interesting secondary pattern! Your circles look great. Are you free handing them or using a template of some kind?

I have a hexagon quilt I will be quilting soon and will need to keep your picture as inspiration for the quilting. I really like how you stayed away from the center and with the way you quilted looks dimensional for the star.
